There are many courses after 10th to choose from, as the choice decides the student’s career in future, which course to choose is a very common question among students and their parents, Here in this guide we tried covering all possible courses after 10th that students in India can go for.
Once the student completes 10th class, discussions about choosing a course start like what are the courses after 10th and which course is better to go with and which course suits the student etc …
As this is very important in a students career, I want to list a few mistakes students or parents make while choosing a course, then list what are all available courses after 10th in India.
If a student is looking to settle down into a job than continuing the study then ITI courses and Certificate courses are the best choices, If a student is looking for Higher studies then Intermediate or Diploma courses are better to choose from.
Students can choose either Arts streams or Commerce stream or Science stream, If a student wants to build a career in Financial side like CA/CPT it’s better to choose Arts stream , If a student wants to build a career in Engineering then choosing MPC is a good idea, If a student interested in Medical or Agriculture Career then choosing Bi.P.C helps reaching their dream career. If a student is interested in Arts, History and culture then Choosing Arts stream is a good choice for the student.
If a student joins Intermediate then after completing 12th, they again need to join another course to get into a good job. But If a student joins the polytechnic course then after completing the polytechnic course student may choose to join a job or to continue further higher studies.
Parents want to decide students next course without asking the child.
If you are a parent, do not force your child to choose a course you like, most parents think their child is still a small kid and they decide their child’s next course after 10th, If you are one of that parent then remember you are choosing your child’s future by choosing the course, If the chosen by you is not your child’s interesting course then your child will not enjoy his course, And if your child is not skilful enough for the course you choose for the child then the chances of your child failing in the course are very high. Discuss with your child and try to understand your child interests, passion and skills to choose the next course for your child.
Students choosing an easy to be finished course, Than which course suits his interests.
I know a student who chooses to join Bi.p.c because of he is afraid of maths, If you are a student then please do not choose an easy course because of you afraid of a subject,
Not exploring all available course options, just picking a course influenced by someone else.
Not considering scholarship opportunities.
